A massive example, with well-shaped horn grips and iron tangband lavishly inlaid in gold, the heavy, single-edged blade wrought of superior Persian wootz in the rare Ladder Pattern. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard, retaining its fine woven silver binding. 18th-19th century. Base of grip chipped. Overall length 40cm. Condition II
