Mughal work, a robust example with rare grips and gold inlaid bolster. The elegant blade with T-back forged of fine highly-contrasted Persian black wootz. In its velvet-covered scabbard with gilded, profiled and engraved scabbard mounts. Early 18th century. Stable crack to grips, velvet rubbed. Overall length 45.5cm. Condition III
