Description
The grip of polished walrus, with bolster of nielloed silver set with a ring of inlaid turquoises characteristic of the type. The straight, T-backed blade forged of fine black and silver wootz damascus steel. The wooden scabbard covered with rare black shagreen with engraved and nielloed chape. Retains its woven suspension system with tassels. Mid-19th century. Light wear. Overall length 39.7cm. Condition I
