Description
Zand Dynasty, an example of rare quality. The head finely and delicately chiseled overall with birds amongst foliage surrounding polygonal cartouches containing poetic text, with gold-inlaid borders. The haft covered in embossed silver retaining traces of enamel and gilding and capped with an inscribed carnelian. Mid-18th century. Haft well worn, carnelian chipped. Overall length 65cm. Condition III
