A fine example, carried at the Austrian Court in order to proclaim Hungarian pride in its ethnicity. The green stone pear-form head of with fluted edges, the wooden haft covered in velvet and fitted with finely engraved and gilded mounts. 19th century. Head with repaired crack to base. Minor wear to velvet. Overall length 64cm. Condition III
