The blond horn grips with eaglehead pommel. The characteristic blade with expanded spine tapering to an acute point, struck with a maker’s mark, YP and inscribed SOY EL LEON (I AM THE LION.) In its finely tooled leather scabbard with separately applied locket and chape with profiled edges. Beginning of the 20th century. Worn, minor losses. Overall length 72cm. Condition III
