Mughal work, with characteristic polished bone grips and symmetrical guard, the blade wrought of two billets as is typical, the forte showing an active pattern welded damascus pattern at the base, then displaying a fine, actively grained wootz pattern. Worn. 18th-19th century. Overall length 85.4cm. Condition III
