A massive example, the hilt with elephant grips and brass guard and tangband. The broad, T-section blade showing actively-grained wootz construction, wrought with a T-back and distinct yelman. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard wire seam closure and large brass mounts en suite with the hilt. Second half of the 18th century. Worn overall. Overall length 91.3cm. Condition III
