Of classic form, the mottled staghorn grips with good patina, the tangbands and bolsters finely inlaid with gold in scrolling vegetal and geometrical motifs. The broad, recurved blade of excellent silver-gray wootz damascus steel likewise inlaid with gold at the forte and forged with a heavy armor-piercing tip. In its carved, velvet-covered wooden scabbard. Second half of the 18th century. Minor wear to gold inlays. Overall length 32.5 cm. Condition I
