Description
A quality example, with horn grips and steel tangband and guard lavishly inlaid with silver. The fine blade wrought of fine, actively-grained Persian black wootz with a gold-inlaid cartouche inscribed ASSAD ALLAH ISFAHANI. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with en suite steel suspension bands and chape finely inlaid with silver en suite with the hilt. Minor wear. Overall length 85.2cm. Condition II
