Description
A quality example, with horn grips and steel pommel and guard lavishly inlaid with gold. The fine blade wrought of fine, actively-grained Persian black wootz with a gold-inlaid cartouche inscribed ASSAD ALLAH ISFAHANI. In its fabric-covered wooden scabbard with en suite steel suspension bands and chape finely inlaid with gold en suite with the hilt. Blade pitted. Overall length 88cm. Condition II
