Finely and authentically hand-wrapped throughout in cloudband motifs, with superb gold and silver-inlaid steel mounts. The reverse with integral lining and cushion. Mid-20th century. Diameter 50cm. Possibly made for the 500th anniversary of the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople in October 1953. Condition II.
