Of characteristic form, the well-decorated horn grip with profiled pommel. The massive blade with profiled forte and expanded tip showing evidence of pattern-welded forging, with a hardened edge. Finely fullering and a radiused tip. Mid-19th century. Minor crack to grip, blade pitted. Overall length 77cm. Condition III
