Description
Rarely encountered complete, comprising a leather belt with large, profiled brass buckle and a pair of matching brass palaska boxes, shield-shaped, with engraved borders and an applied rosette to the center set with a turquoise and red glass gems, together with a belt hook retaining a chained brass ramrod with a large, pierced toggle and profiled shaft concealing a pair of long, narrow tweezers used for handling hot coals, and a brass powder measure with molded rings, the plunger intact. First half of the 19th century. Minor wear, leather well worn. Overall length 130 cm. Condition III
