Description
A revolutionary-era weapon dating to the period of British colonial suppression. Designed for in-fighting, the short, handforged blade is broad and thick with a single edge and upturned tip, inlaid with silver scrolling on both sides. The horn grip carved with the head of a demon with inlaid bone eyes. The steel guard showing European influence, the terminals likewise formed as demons. Late 19th-early 20th century. Overall length 64.4cm. Condition II
