A large example of Rajput work, the hilt finely pierced with elegant birds with turquoise eyes, the rails of wootz with stamped armory number to one side. The fine blade well-wrought of wootz, bifullered and chiseled at the forte. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard. First half of the 18th century. Velvet heavily worn. Overall length 48.4cm. Condition III
