Description
Excellent workmanship, the steel swept hilt elaborately chiseled in herringbone patterns in relief with intricately beaded borders throughout, grip with original twisted wire wrap. Straight, double-edged blade with rectangular forte transitioning to a flattened diamond section with prominent central ridge, tapering gently to an acute tip. Mid-19th century or earlier. Wire slightly raveled, blade with minor abrasions. Overall length 103cm. Condition II
