Description
The hilt of characteristic form, artistically wrought with double ring guards and recurved quillons engraved as a snake with well-detailed eyes, teeth and scales, the large, pear-shaped pommel likewise well engraved. The wire-wrapped grip with turkshead knots intact. The long, straight, double-edged blade with narrow fuller at the forte. Mid-19th century. Light wear. Overall length 120cm. Condition II
