Description
A rare example associated with the Munich Town Guard. Of characteristic “black and white” type, wrought in two halves with embossed fleur de lis to either side, polished bright, the remainder with typical black finish. The broad, upturned brim with rolled, roped edge. Retains all of its original rare stamped brass rosettes. First half of the 17th century. Worn. Overall height 39cm. Condition III
