Very seldom-encountered work of the Kaseng People, carved of a single large section of very dense, dark wood of oval form with elongated terminals, with convex curvature. Covered entirely in animal hide; the reverse deeply inletted for the arm with raised flanges to support the wood and leather mounts. Mid-19th century or earlier. Light wear. Overall length 87.5cm. Condition II
