German or Hungarian, the broad blade with convex edge and struck with three armorers marks, the poll a flattened rectangle with stepped lower edge. From a private Hungarian collection displayed in the Godollo Royal Castle Exhibition in Pest and including a letter of authenticity. 13th century. As found. Overall length of head 15.5cm/ 6.1”. Pitted overall. Condition V
