Description
Of characteristic form, well-wrought of steel, the faceted conical skull with panels of floral gilding at the brow and peak terminating in a lobed ellipse, the nasal with gilded finial, pierced and gilded reading, ALLAH! 19th-20th century. Some wear to gilding. Height 35cm/ 13.75”. Possibly made for the 500th anniversary of the Ottoman conquest of Constantinople in October 1953. Condition III.
