An above-average example of characteristic form, with flared elephant pommel and grips and well-engraved ferrule. The heavy, single-edged blade with raised chamfered edge and acute tip. In its cord-wrapped wooden scabbard with brass chape. Latter 19th century. Grips with stable cracks. Overall length 47.6cm/ 18.75”. Condition II
