Baghdad work, the carved horn grip of characteristic form with filigreed silver bosses, the scabbard wrought entirely of silver and embellished with embossed and engraved bands. The fine, curved double-edged blade forged of faintly visible actively-grained wootz damascus steel. Mid-19th century. Some wear. Scabbard tip repaired in period. Overall length 32.7cm/ 12.87”. Condition III
