A classic type, with patinaed bone grips and well-wrought blade of fine, actively-grained black wootz damascus steel with T-back and chamfered edge. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with faceted steel chape. Late 18th-early 19th century. Grips chipped, losses to leather. Overall length 42cm/ 16.5”. Condition III
