Description
A robust example, mounted entirely in silver and embellished in translucent Lucknow enamel in red, blue, pink, white and green throughout, in complex flowering vine motifs. The broad, double-edged blade wrought of actively-grained wootz damascus steel with central fuller terminating in an thickened armor-piercing tip. In its silver scabbard intricately enameled en suite with the hilt. 19th-20th century. Very minor losses to enamel. Overall length 38.2cm/ 15”. Condition II
