Description
A very seldom encountered form. The characteristic grip of antler, carved with aso and scrollwork and retaining its horn and silver ferrule. The massive, handwrought blade expanding continuously to the tip, deeply profiled and engraved at the spine and forte and inlaid in brass at the ricasso. In its carved wooden scabbard with rattan bindings. 19th-20th century. Minor wear. Overall length 65.5cm/ 25.75inches. Condition II
