A very seldom encountered form. The characteristic grip of antler, carved with aso and scrollwork and retaining its woven grip wrap. The massive, handwrought blade expanding continuously to the tip, deeply profiled and pierced with fine back fuller. In its carved wooden scabbard with rattan bindings. 19th-20th century. Minor wear. Overall length 67cm/ 26.37”. Condition II
