An early Qajar dynasty helmet of classic form, the skull with fine pierced work panels bordered in brass studs throughout, the rim with chiseled Quranic passages with spike finial, plume holders and captured nasal intact, and characteristic camail wrought of steel and rings in lineal motifs. Retains its rare fabric liner. Beginning of the 19th century. Worn. Overall height 58cm/ 22.83?. Condition III
