A fine example of a rare type, the polished antler and horn grips mounted in finely engraved and nielloed silver. The rare, actively-grained black wootz double-edged blade with finely-wrought central fullers. In its matching velvet-covered scabbard with large engraved and nielloed silver mounts en suite with the hilt. Latter 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 42.5cm/16.75”. Condition II
