Description
A finer than average example of robust proportions, the antler grip with intricately carved pommel and finely-woven grip wrap. The hardwood scabbard paneled and carved with leach motifs in high relief. The blade unusually robust with elaborately-profiled spine and extensive aso motif engraving together with elaborate brass inlays, retaining a very sharp edge. 19th- early 20th century. Minor wear. Overall length 74.7cm/ 29.5”. Condition II
