The brass pommel and guard well-modeled and embellished, with leather-covered wooden grip. The massive curved and fullered blade marked WM. POUNELS * ZOON TE’S HAGE in a banner at the right forte and a makers mark struck at the base, with EISENHAUER (Iron Cutter) and another struck mark at the left. In its nickeled steel scabbard. Mid-19th century. Leather rubbed. Overall length 98 cm / 38 1/2". Condition II
