Lionhead type, army officers issue. Elaborately embellished hilt mounts lion with faceted red glass eyes, langet with down-wing Army eagle and swastika of early type. Black celluloid grip with wire wrap. Blade with bright finish, marked SIEGFRIED with cartouche at left forte. C. 1940. Minor wear. Overall length 94.6 cm / 37 1/4". Condition II
