An unusually early example of characteristic form, the hardwood haft with pronounced central ridge incised with initials, THV and dated 1831, grooved and set with extremely sharp sharks teeth, each bored through and retained by twined plant fiber. Deeply patinaed. Dated 1831. Several teeth lacking. Overall length 72cm/ 28.35". Condition IV
