Description
A well-made copy, with coffin-shaped pommel embossed with a running horse on either side, straight guard and shield-shaped escutcheons on the grip, all white metal, the grips of bone. The robust blade with back edged and characteristic clipped tip and broad, flat forte struck, G. WOODHEAD / 36 HOWARD STREET / SHEFFIELD. In its stamped leather sheath with silvered mounts. 20th century. Minor wear and rubbing. Overall length 37.4 cm / 14 3/4". Condition II
