Description
A rare example of characteristic form, the brass wire-wrapped grip terminating in a large, drop-shaped pommel stained with orange pigment. The heavy steel bolster stepped and profiled, the massive blade with convex spine and concave edge, struck with a makers mark. 18th century. Worn. Overall length 55.4 cm / 21 3/4". Condition III
