Of steel, oval in form with cusped upper edge, the edges roped, with modeled bossed along the border. The body with intricate vinework, with full-modeled lion s head at the center. Mounted on a wooden backing with a pair of suspension loops. Retains its darkened surface. Late 19th century. Minor wear. Overall height 56 cm / 22".
