An above-average example, the grips of tortoise set with an engraved silver escutcheon and bone decorated with floral panels with brass mounts, the butt with rattlesnake tail style. The well-wrought steel blade with pronounced back edge struck TOLEDO in an oval cartouche. Mid-19th century. Light wear, minor chip to bone panel. Overall length 37.5 cm / 14 3/4". Condition II
