Description
Likely Italian, the faceted grip with domed pommel wrote entirely of silver and engraved in geometrical motif, with rectangular bolster. The broad, single-edged blade with substantial back edge. The wooden sheath retains its original velvet covering, mounted in finely engraved and profiled silver en suite with the hilt, with bead finial. 18th century. Blade corroded. Overall length 26.6 cm. / 10 1/2". Condition IV
