The grip of typical form, carved of a single large section of fibrous horn, with domed brass pommel. The British export blade straight and double edged, etched with the Lion of Judah at the forte and bands of vinework in the fullers. In its original hide sheath. Second half of the 19th century. Minor chipping to hilt. Overall length 92 cm / 36 1/4". Condition III
