Description
An above average example, the grip of antler, finely-carved with aso motifs and retaining its intricately-woven wrap and hair tassels. The handforged blade with expanded tip, and chisel-edged with tentacles modeled at the forte. In its carved wooden scabbard with rattan bands and belt and pisau raut knife with well-carved pommel. 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 69.5 cm / 27 1/3". Condition II
