A diminutive example, likely made for presentation to EIC officer, the stirrup hilt elaborately engraved and finely gilded, the blade short yet robust, curved and tapering continuously to the tip of the blade. Retains approximately half its original scabbard, finely embossed, chased and gilded en suite with the hilt. Late 18th-early 19th century. Rubbing, isolated areas of pitting to blade. Overall length 63.7cm / 23 7/8?. Condition III
