Of characteristic form, with exceptionally long, single-edged blade with an applied angular reinforce at the forte, terminating in an acute armor-piercing tip. The robust guard with rectangular quillons and four triangular langets. Showing characteristics of both ninth-century Eurasian sabers as well as those found on the 17th century Circassian Tse, commonly known as an Ordynka. Late 14th-early 15th century. Excavated. An extremely similar example belonging to the Caucasian Collection of the State Historical Museum, Moscow, appears in E.G. Astvatsaturian, Weapons of the Caucasian Peoples, St. Petersburg, Atlant Publishers, 2004, p. 49, plate 29, fig A. and passim. Overall length 106.9cm / 42?. Condition V
