Of characteristic form, the polished giraffe horn grips with rolled pommel and silver eyelets, the silver tangband and guard with engraved borders. The elegant, curved, single-edged Egyptian blade wrought of fine, waved wootz with faint remains of a gold inscription at the forte. Late18th century. Grips with stable crack, minor areas of pitting. Overall length 89.5cm / 35 1/4". Condition II
