Description
With polished staghorn grips and faceted steel pommel, the guard wrought of Persian wootz with gold-inlaid borders. The long, single-edged blade of lenticular cross-section and moderately curved, forged of fine and rare Kara Taban Persian black wootz damascus steel in a natural ladder pattern with original finish. 17th-18th century. Minor wear, one langet lacking. Overall length 92.7cm / 36 1/2". Condition II
