Description
The grip carved of a dark horn with hooked, cleft pommel as is typical. The lightly-curved, fullered and spear-tipped blade likely captured, of the highest quality German workmanship wrought of exceptional pattern welded damascus steel. Retains its three large silver scabbard mounts, embellished with engraving and niello overall. Mid-19th century. Minor wear, small areas of rust. Overall length 98.2cm / 38 ??. Condition II
