Of characteristic form, the intricately-carved ebony grip with applied profiled and engraved silver plaques in elaborate scrollwork motifs. The forte inlaid with silver and intricately profiled at the cutting edge en suite. The broad, single-edged blade inlaid with silver scrollwork. In its carved wooden scabbard with long silvered locket. Latter 18th century. Blade with age toning and minor pitting, minor losses. Overall length 31.6cm/ 12 1/2". Condition III
