Description
Kachin work, the hilt with applied brass pommel, the grip wrapped with brass ferrule. The stout, chisel-edged blade with characteristic flared tip, with traces of layer-forged construction visible near the cutting edge. In its wooden scabbard with intact rattan sling and fine carved terminal and brass bindings. Late 19th century. Light wear. Overall length 84.2cm/ 33 1/8". Condition II
