A well-made example, the two-piece skull with pronounced ridge, the visor and bevor sharing a common pivot as is typical. The visor with narrow rectangular ocularia, the bevor with multiple circular breaths to each side. The gorget composed of a broad lame with turned edge. Retains its ostrich plumes. Worn. Latter 19th century. Cleaned. Height 29.5cm/ 11 5/8 inches. Condition III
