Traditionally carried by aristocratic women for personal protection. Grip and sheath carved of dark hardwood with silver mounts. The straight, single-edged blade with chamfered edge struck with a makers mark. Latter 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 14.4cm/ 4 5/8 inches. Condition II
